in the UCSD Communication Department who are looking to get a job in

related areas, many others are not. They include my favorite general
books on looking for work. About 22 kbytes or 3500 words.

An article from The Network Observer 1(2) entitled "The art of getting
help", which is about some tried-and-true ways of asking people for
information, either on or off the Internet, without pissing them off.
It's a good piece to post to any mailing list that has had trouble with
low-level requests for help with research projects that could be better
directed to a librarian or reference book.
